We love soccer. We love to play it, we love to coach it, and we love to see others discover the joys of the game as well. At Lakeshore United FC, we strive to provide soccer opportunities for players of all ability levels and backgrounds. If you are experiencing financial hardship, we do not want that to prevent your child from experiencing the many benefits that soccer and youth sports can provide.
Lakeshore United FC is striving to increase access to our soccer programs through LUFC ReKicks, the Scholarship Fund, and Equipment Exchanges.
If the cost of soccer shoes is preventing your child from playing soccer, or if it places a significant hardship on your family, please let us know. Thanks to the donations of our soccer community and the efforts of our player and parent volunteers, LUFC has a collection of gently used soccer shoes available for families in need. As long as we have the size needed, we will provide a pair at no cost with no questions asked.
The LUFC Scholarship Fund provides families with demonstrated financial need opportunities for reduced or waived programming fees. Established in 2015, the Scholarship Fund has raised over $100,000 and provided financial assistance to hundreds of athletes in our communities. Please fill out our Scholarship Application, and our Club Administrator will follow up with you regarding your available options.
Shoes aren't the only pieces of equipment that players may outgrow! Training shirts, shorts, and shin gaurds are commonly outgrown as well. Lakeshore United FC Equipment Exchanges are offered at various times throughout the year, giving families the opportunity to exchange items for larger sizes for their growing boys and girls. Subscribe to our Equipment Exchange mailing list or connect with us on social media to be notified of future exchanges
There are a number of ways you can support members of our community through Project KickBack
Throughout our spring and fall seasons, we'll be collecting gently used shoes at our tournaments and club picnics. We will also have a dropbox at the KCU Fit Center during normally scheduled hours for the Futsal Program.
Throughout the year, volunteers are needed to help clean, organize, and preparing shoes for distribution. This can be done by interested players, parents, family members, or teams that want to work together.
The LUFC Scholarship Fund is supported by the generous donations of our members in the surrounding communities. Please consider making a donation or supporting one of our fundraisers like the annual LUFC Soccer Ball.
Project KickBack was started in 2015 by LUFC teammates Dani Bruckschen and Bonnie Lacey, and is now run by LUFC volunteers. Since its inception, Project KickBack has given our over 600 pairs of soccer shoes to families. This has helped improve access to this game we love to play and supports our mission providing soccer opportunities for youth of all abilities and backgrounds.
