Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game that is played across the world. The game is played on a hard surface, basketball sized court with a smaller, low-bounce ball, which requires players to have quick reflexes, fast thinking, and pin-point passing.
Players will be assigned to a training pool which will train and practice 1-2 times per week throughout the winter
Players will get the opportunity to compete in 8-10 games (U10+) or festivals (U7-U9) throughout the winter season
All players will receive a dry fit Lakeshore United FC shirt to wear for training and games throughout the season
From infancy to adolescence, the friendly team at Just Kids Dental are devoted to providing personalized dental care to meet the individual needs of each child and who enters their School of Smiles.
The Lakeshore United Futsal Program is open for 1st thru 12th grade players of all ability levels. Players register as individuals and will be assigned a training pool and team based on age, gender, and skill level. For our younger players from U7-U9, formal teams will not be created. But players will enjoy "festival play" throughout the season, which includes shorter games and rotating rosters based on availability and attendance each week.
Futsal is an extremely popular form of indoor soccer that is currently played by more than 12 million players in 100 countries every year. It is played on a hard surfaced court with boundary lines, which places a large emphasis on players' technical skill in high pressure situations. Played as a 5v5 game, players are continually moving and involved in the play, leading to frequent touches and scoring opportunities for everyone on the court. Soccer greats such as Pele, Ronaldo, and Messi grew up playing futsal and credit the sport for the development of their technical skills.
