A safe, inclusive, and structured program designed to encourage our youngest athletes in their first organized soccer experience. Each week players enjoy a 45-minute session that includes a 2v2 or 3v3 scrimmages followed by skill introduction and practice through interactive group games focused on teamwork, soccer skill development, and body coordination.
When families arrive at their first Juniors session, one of our Program Coordinators will check you in and make sure each player receives their very own soccer ball and Lakeshore United FC shirt. After you are checked in, we get players onto the field right away to start playing. To allow all boys and girls opportunities to dribble, pass, and shoot, players will scrimmage one another in a 2v2 or 3v3 format with multiple goals. The Juniors Program does not have formal teams and rosters, so players will receive a penny and join a new team as soon as they arrive each week. Our Juniors staff oversee the 2v2 and 3v3 games to help demonstrate, encourage, and guide the athletes as they play. About halfway though each weekly session, we bring several groups together for activities that will help introduce soccer skills and allow players opportunities to practice. These activites are often familiar to children with a fun soccer twist.
The programming year begins early fall with a 6-week season. Players enjoy one 45-minute session each week.
The programming year concludes with a 6-week season in spring. Players enjoy one 45-minute session each week.
All Junior players will receive their own LUFC soccer ball and a Juniors Shirt and/or uniform kit!
For all 5K Juniors from across communities
5K Juniors from all participating communities are invited to Horace Mann Soccer Complex in Sheboygan from 5PM-6PM on Friday Evenings for Friday Night Kicks. Players will be divided into teams for open scrimmages. These additional touches on the ball in a soccer-match environment will not only be fun but will also help prepare boys and girls for the Community Soccer Program that begins in 1st grade.
Registration will re-open for NEW PLAYERS that did not join us for Juniors this past fall. Look to register in 2025 and join the fun!
