This summer marks a monumental moment in the history of Lakeshore United FC as we proudly announce the launch of our first-ever Women’s Team. Following the successful debut of our Men’s team in 2023, we’re thrilled to extend this opportunity to the women in our community, inviting graduating high school seniors and older to join this groundbreaking program.

Empowering Women in Soccer

Our mission is clear: to provide a platform for current collegiate players seeking summer training opportunities to maintain their skills and fitness, for graduating high school and collegiate players to continue their passion for the game, and for former players to rekindle their love for soccer. This program is more than just a team; it’s a community and a testament to the growing support for women’s soccer.

Training and Matches

The team will train 2-3 times per week at Horace Mann Middle School, focusing on skill development, tactical understanding, and physical fitness. In the absence of a recognized women’s league in Wisconsin, LUFC is committed to arranging a series of matches that will challenge and excite our players. This includes scheduling friendlies with other clubs, USL, and WPSL teams, as well as organizing intersquad and interclub matches. These encounters will not only provide valuable match experience but also foster a competitive and supportive environment for all involved.

Joining the Team

With the program set to run from May 20th through July, we’re eager to assemble a team that embodies the spirit and ambition of LUFC. While the cost of participation is still being finalized, our goal is to make this opportunity as accessible as possible, ensuring minimal expenses for our players. Depending on the level of interest, tryouts may be held to ensure a competitive and balanced team dynamic.
