This week our “We Are Lakeshore” spotlight is on Christian Ellis!

Known as Coach Chris by his players, Coach Christian by others at LUFC (to avoid confusion with a number of other Coach Chris’s on staff), and Ernie by his fellow marines (since he is so friendly, orange, and round), Christian Ellis currently coaches our U8 Academy Girls and the U11 Select Boys for LUFC. He has been coaching for 8 years and holds a USSF Class D License.

Christian grew up playing soccer. Throughout his childhood, he played with the Sheboygan Area Youth Soccer Organization and the Milwaukee Kickers Random Lake before playing 3 years of varsity ball at Oostburg High School. As an all-conference senior, Christian had the opportunity to continue playing in college for Lakeland University, but ultimately chose to focus his time on one of his other interests – instrumental music.

You are also likely to see Christian on the sidelines during our Community Soccer, Academy, or Select games as a USSF licensed referee or coaching at the Juniors Program in Sheboygan Falls. He’s also a member of the Sheboygan Falls FC Board of Directors, one of our partnering soccer organizations.

When he’s not involved with soccer, Christian loves to spend time with his wife and 4 kids, putzing around the garage, kayaking, and being outdoors. “When most people are inside, you can find me outside.” He’s a small business owner, enjoys spicy trail mix, and a valued member of our soccer community!
